Please be assured that we are working tirelessly to correct this situation in order to resume regular services at all of our locations. Please be advised that wait times are longer than normal. This will be in effect until futher notice.

Please Note :

The following clinics are presently not performing X-Rays : Coronation X-Ray & Ultrasound.

The following clinics require an appointment for X-Rays : Sheppard X-Ray & Ultrasound and Midtown Diagnostic Imaging.

We continue to offer full services at all of our other locations.

MAMMOGRAPHY & ONTARIO BREAST SCREENING PROGRAM

Mammography is a low-dose x-ray examination of the breasts. A mammogram is used to detect early cancer of the breasts in women, who experience no symptoms, and to detect and diagnose breast disease in patients experiencing symptoms such as a lump, pain or nipple discharge. Results of a mammographic study may be correlated with those of other breast imaging studies, such as a breast ultrasound, in order to obtain a more conclusive diagnosis.

True North Imaging specializes in women’s health. Our dedicated team of highly trained and accredited breast imaging experts performs and interprets all breast imaging studies at our facilities. Our facilities, equipment and staff undergo ongoing assessments and accreditation through the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) and the Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) to ensure that we meet and/or exceed all quality requirements. We have been affiliates of OBSP almost since its inception and our commitment to breast health is widely known and respected.
Our OBSP locations provide screening mammograms, using state-of-the-art full field digital equipment, by fully trained and accredited staff. Our locations provide a comfortable, discreet and caring environment for our patients.

Appointment Details

Please call the desired location as appointments are required. We will make every attempt to accommodate your scheduling request. For emergency and stat procedures we will make every attempt to accommodate you the same day.

Exam Preparation

For inclusion in the OBSP program, female patients must be Ontario residents between the ages of 50 and 74 with no personal history of breast cancer, any breast implants or acute breast problems. Doctor referrals are not required to be a part of the OBSP, however, it is suggested that women contact their doctors if they are experiencing any problems with their breasts.
